These terms apply to your use of this website and to the text messages AfroTreats sends. By using the website or opting in to our texts, you agree to them.

Our Food and Events

AfroTreats is a food truck. The services described on this website are the food we sell from the truck and the events where we trade. Menu items and event plans can change, so the menu and event information here are general information, not an offer for a specific item, place or time.

Use of This Website

You may use this website for lawful purposes only: to learn about our food and to contact us. Do not misuse it, try to gain unauthorized access to it, or interfere with how it works.

Unless stated otherwise, the content on this site (text, graphics, logos and photographs) belongs to AfroTreats or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property law. You may view and print pages for your own personal use, but not copy or republish them without our written permission.

Age Restriction

You must be 18 or older to send us your details through this website or to agree to receive text messages from us. By opting in, you confirm that you are 18 or older.

SMS / Text Messaging Terms

  • Program name. AfroTreats Text Messages, operated by AfroTreats.
  • Program description and message types. Non-marketing messages relate to what you asked us about: replies to your questions, your food order inquiries and order details, pickup information, and event or market schedules. If you separately ticked the box agreeing to marketing messages, we may also send promotional messages such as special offers, discounts and news about new menu items. You can opt out of either kind at any time.
  • How you opt in. By giving us your mobile number and ticking a text message consent box on our message form. The boxes are unticked until you tick them, and non-marketing and marketing consent are separate boxes. Agreeing to texts is not a condition of buying anything from us.
  • Message frequency. Message frequency varies.
  • Message and data rates. Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan.
  • How to opt out. Text STOP at any time to cancel. You will get one final message confirming you are unsubscribed, and no further texts to that number. To opt back in later, reply START.
  • How to get help. Reply HELP to any message, or call (914) 618-2044 or email info@afrotreats.org.
  • Carrier liability. Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
  • Supported carriers. Major mobile carriers in the United States are supported. Carriers are not responsible for the content of messages.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors in support services, such as customer service, is permitted. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

The mobile information you share with us, and your text message consent, are handled as described in our privacy policy.

Privacy

Our privacy policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and your choices. It forms part of these terms.

Limitation of Liability

This website is provided "as is". To the fullest extent the law allows, AfroTreats is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of it. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Changes to These Terms

If we change these terms, we will post the new version here and update the date at the top.
